Starting wage:

Role Purpose:

Employee will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the automotive fabrication process. While individual will be assigned primarily to the Peeler Operation duties, they are in no way limited to that area.


Responsibilities:

  • Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required.
  • Understand and follow Quality Policy requirements.
  • Always follow work instructions and procedures.
  • Machine set-up/operation per procedures.
  • Computer production systems and data entry.
  • Utilize proper handling techniques to minimize product damage.
  • Attend all safety training and meetings.
  • Notify supervisor or manager of unsafe working conditions.
  • Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  • Maintain a continuous feedback loop with Supervisor pertaining to defects affecting quality.
  • Maximize use of foam to obtain optimum yield.
  • Use tape measure, yardstick, calipers, etc. and understand measuring increments.
  • Continuous focus on departmental goals pertaining to thru put, yield, safety and quality.
  • Keep area neat, organized and clean as well as follow 5S principles, as they are appropriate.
  • Cross train in other positions as required.
  • 1st and 2nd shift available.


Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent; or combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic math skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
