This is a position that is responsible for supervision of the driver merchandisers, warehouse personnel, and loading crew at our warehouse in Harahan, LA.

This is a hands on, working supervisor position that will require assisting with deliveries and loading/unloading trucks while providing supervision to the team.

Primary Responsibilities

Inventory control - order product as needed

Manage order pickers schedule and hours worked

Pull orders when needed

Check all orders for accuracy before loading

Check trucks in using established procedures

Route delivery trucks efficiently using established sales routes as base

Manage Driver Merchandisers

Serve as liaison between warehouse and sales

Ensure adherence to basic warehouse maintenance standards, efficiencies, and requirements

Report all out of stock issues to branch management

Proper and complete product rotation of warehouse inventory

Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members

Attend and participate in sales meeting as needed by branch management

Manage and coordinate fleet issues and maintenance with leasing company

Computer and palm handheld maintenance

Back up to branch settlement person

All other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

CDL B required

At least 2 years in warehouse industry; beverage industry preferred

Strong organizational skills

Strong leadership skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Strong process and procedure improvement skills

PC literate

Must have knowledge of warehousing operations and OHSA safety requirements and any local or state code that apply

Valid Forklift certification preferred

Some college preferred but not required
