is hiring for a Manager, Operations to support our Manufacturing team in Chambersburg, PA. As an Operations Manager, you will manage printing, trimming, case binding, and shipping for assigned Lightning Source (LS) Production departments. The Operations Manager also supervises all associates, directly or indirectly, on the assigned shift.

Shifts (training will begin on day shift, then move to night shift):

  • A Shift: Sun-Tues 7am-7pm + every other Saturday 7am-7pm

Required Qualifications:

  • College degree or directly related year for year experience
  • 3 or more years of management experience
  • 1 or more years of manufacturing experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experienced in coaching team members and passionate about employee engagement
  • Skilled in problem solving and communication
  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to join a growing and fast paced team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage materials and equipment necessary for the daily production and shipping of books to LSI customers, including but not limited to, order routing, material requisitioning, shift staffing, and quality control
  • Coordinate with other LS Departments, to resolve customer complaints, rush orders and meet client needs
  • Oversee and direct supervisors on assigned shift
  • Compose and approve associate evaluations and maintain accurate attendance/time records; recommending disciplinary measures, as needed
  • Interview applicants, approve hiring decisions and oversee training
  • Ensure that safety and hazardous material guidelines are followed by associates at all times
