Sarver Movers is looking for an energetic and hardworking individual to join our team as a Warehouse/Operations Manager. We are locally owned and operated and allow flexible schedules. We want self-starters who will get the job done! YOU DO NO NECESSARILY NEED EXPERIENCE IN A WAREHOUSE TO FULFILL THIS ROLE.

As Warehouse/Operations Manager, you will help the owner oversee and assist in running warehouse contracts as well as our moving companies storage program. The warehouse contract duties include, but are not limited to: assisting in unloading truckloads of windows, organizing windows, moving windows, and performing weekly inventories on windows. You will also use a pallet jack to move palletized products around the warehouse from various other contracts. You will have to go on some moving jobs as needed. If you can perform all of these roles well, you will see a $1 to $2 raise in the first 6 weeks.

The operations manager role is mainly to implement the right processes and practices across the organization. The specific duties of an operations manager include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. Ultimately, we’ll trust you to help us remain compliant, efficient and profitable during the course of business. The warehouse manager role is mainly to inventory and ensure goods are stored neatly and securely. You will be in charge of taking inbound calls and assisting with customer needs on both the moving and warehousing sides of our business. You will need a reliable personal vehicle to get you to work and to run errands. As needed, you will also assist the manager with other duties related to the moving business.

You can expect to be paid $600 a week, with room to advance. Hours will be from 8:00 am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

Job Duties:

  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
  • Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff
  • Find ways to increase quality of customer service
  • Take inbound calls and respond to emails
  • Send customer paperwork, such as estimates and invoices
  • Ensure office is clean and materials are stocked
  • Inventory items in warehouse
  • Arrive to work on time
  • Have reliable transportation to work and run errands using personal vehicle
  • Communicate professionally with and take direction from the manager
  • Stock materials needed for moving jobs
  • Complete other tasks for the manager as needed

Skills:

  • Proven work experience as operations manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills

Qualifications:

  • Pass a background check
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Have a reliable personal vehicle
  • Keep up good physical appearance and hygiene

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification
