The Operations Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting finished good items across all product categories that support our Retail, Foodservice, and Commodity distribution channels. Individual will incorporate data from various sources (including statistical models, trade promotion software, customer portals, IRI data, and sales history) to develop weekly and monthly forecasts; participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process; be responsible for analyzing trends and developing reporting to drive process and operational efficiency; and will have responsibility for various sales and operational reporting, inventory management, and sales support projects.

Reports To: Director, Supply Chain Planning.

A hybrid/work model is available to meet business and personal needs.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Experience with demand planning/stat modeling
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Bachelors degree

Duties and Responsibilities for the Operations Demand Planner:

  • Demand Planning

Develop and manage the demand plan for approximately 300 unique SKU’s across multiple levels of aggregation and time horizons.
Analyze promotions in trade promotion software and coordinate forecasts with sales team.
Work closely with production planning team to support demand plan and resolve potential supply challenges.
Continuous improvement to forecasting techniques and accuracy through leveraging all available data.

  • Sales Support and S&OP Process

Act as a liaison between sales and operations regarding product related issues such as potential shortages, distressed product, discontinued, and new products.
Build, analyze, and provide weekly and monthly sales reporting.
Support budgeting process for sales volumes and pricing.
Analyze forecast to provide key insights and inputs into the S&OP process.
Participate in S&OP meetings and contribute to developing consensus forecasts.

  • Business Analysis

Support data and analysis needs of other internal departments.
Work on cross functional teams to support and execute strategic initiatives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
