Carey Counseling Center, Inc. is seeking to hire an OnTrackTN Supported Employment/Education Specialist.

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Early Intervention Services and programmatic supervisor, the Employment and Education Specialist provides evidence based supportive employment and education services.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

1. Trained in and utilizes Individualized Placement and Support Practice and Principles, (IPS).

2. Coordinates with area businesses and colleges on criteria for employment and education.

3. Explores possible job matches to the clients’ skills and experience.

4. Advocates for modifications if needed in the school system based on client need.

5. Provides mediation in the event of concerns with current employment.

6. Is available as a member of the On Track Team to clients 24 hours per day, seven days per week by means of an on-call cell phone that will be rotated.

7. Follows all guidelines outlined in the CAREY Policies and Procedures Manual including Corporate Compliance Policies.

8. Is expected to have regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work cooperatively with others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling or a related field. Experience in a mental health or social service agency is desirable but not required. The above qualifications express the minimum standards of education and experience for an applicant for this position. Other combinations of education and experience, if evaluated as equivalent, may qualify an applicant for consideration.
