Job Description

The Office Support Assistant IV provides general administrative and office support to The UMKC Conservatory including a variety of responsibilities such as assisting the Dean, Leadership Team and Department Chair(s), with contracts, purchases, and other duties as assigned.The Office Support Assistant IV provides general administrative and office support to The UMKC Conservatory including a variety of responsibilities such as assisting the Dean, Leadership Team and Department Chair(s), with contracts, purchases, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Conservatory Faculty/Staff/Students with the production of Contracts, Honoraria, and Payments to hired service providers.
  • Serve as primary faculty/staff liaison for Conservatory orders related to productions, music rental/purchase, classroom materials, and any other orders as directed.
  • Serve as primary liaison for large ensemble orders for bands, orchestra, choirs, and jazz bands, including any library materials, copies, and classroom/rehearsal supplies. Provide logistical support for large ensemble tours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Well organized, detail-oriented candidate.
  • Collaborative and supportive of faculty, student, staff, and department chairs
  • Positive Conservatory Ambassador with outside vendors and guests
  • Knowledge of Music, Dance, and Theatre artforms is not required but appreciated.

Full Time/Part Time

Part-time, non-benefits eligable position at 20 hours per week

Salary

Up to $18.77 based on education, experience, and internal equity.

Shift

20 hours per week, Monday-Friday
