Duties

Customer Service representatives, who work in the State Parks Information Center and Headquarters' Front Desk, provide information about parks and programs to the public. This position is the face and the voice of the agency as they help people navigate agency websites, plan vacations, connect with other staff, process applications, issues pass and permits, and provide education about the discount pass and permit programs.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Following established procedures, review, and verify eligibility for issuance of agency discount passes.
  • Contact customers by phone, email, or mail regarding completion of applications.
  • Input applicant information into PAS database.
  • Issue passes and permits.
  • Maintain pass and permit filing systems.
  • Serve customers at the front desk reception, as needed.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls, emails, and walk-in customers.
  • Issue loaner badges to employees and the Environmental Land Use Hearings Office.
  • Provide merchandise sales.
  • Mail State Parks information as requested.
  • Maintain inventory, spreadsheets and documents.
  • Pick-up Information Center mail from agency's mailroom.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • One (1) year of office experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Ability to solve simple mathematical equations.
