Come join our multidisciplinary team in providing high quality occupational therapy services to children and their families in the Omaha area. We prefer experienced applicants but will consider new graduates. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for:

  • Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy treatment sessions, specialized groups, and programs for the children and families we serve.
  • Develop appropriate individual treatment plans, address goals effectively within treatment sessions, and update goals as necessary based on PTC policies and guidelines.
  • Manage individual caseload by evaluating patient’s progress effectively through evaluations, re-evaluations, quarterly progress reports, and insurance required reports as necessary and required by PTC policies and guidelines.
  • Utilize effective, creative, and interactive interventions within treatment sessions that promote patient-therapist engagement and improve functional performance and independence.
  • Select and implement evaluation tools and treatment activities that are appropriate based on each child’s individual abilities.
  • Work collaboratively within the therapeutic team to identify deficit areas, develop treatment plans, and coordinate intervention strategies within individual treatment sessions, co-treatment sessions, and specialized groups. Refer to other disciplines and outside sources as necessary and appropriate.
  • Serve as a role-model and mentor to students and other team members by providing appropriate supervision, training, and modeling professional behavior.
  • Provide consistent and effective training to families on home programs using a variety of teaching styles. Treat caregivers as a therapeutic partner. Provide appropriate resources for use at home and within the community.
  • Collaborate with other therapists during co-treatment sessions to plan and carry-out activities that address functional performance and goals for all disciplines involved.
  • Represent clinic with highest standard of customer service excellence, compassion, and professionalism

Minimum Position Qualifications
Education

Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program

Experience

1 year experience in clinical setting preferred.

Certification/Licenses

Current Nebraska License
