Our Therapy team is seeking a high energy, passionate, and reliable
Occupational Therapist on a FT basis for our facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct our occupational therapy services, in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
- Select rehabilitative and therapeutic activities and exercises based on medical and social history of residents.
- Ensure that therapy personnel follow established infection control procedures and universal precautions when performing duties.
- Develop and implement procedures that ensure all equipment and supplies are used in an efficient manner for resident to perform required therapy.
- Meet with and solicit advice from other department supervisors; assist in identifying and correcting problems and/or improvement of services.
- Make written and oral reports or recommendations concerning the operation of the department in conjunction with Rehabilitation Director.
- Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, etc. timely and as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must possess, as minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in this state.
- Must have experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
- Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during Orientation.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Must be able to relate information positively and favorably to residents and family members.
