Ancora Home Health is currently seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) that has a passion for providing outstanding services to the elderly in Senior Living Communities and in-home health settings. This is a full-time position serving patients in the Anchorage and Wasilla area.


Each Occupational Therapist (OT) is an important part of the Aegis Health Care team. Aegis specializes in providing care for home health patients in home settings and in senior living communities. Our patients have many different needs, and we can help them all. Our OT treats a variety of conditions ranging from orthopedics, stroke, post-surgical, and other debilitating causes of weakness and neurological loss. Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient's performance and ability to engage in activities that affect health, well-being, and life quality
  • Select appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Teach patient's new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
  • Assess patient's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train on equipment use
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers
  • Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short-term treatment goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Skills & Qualifications:


  • Occupational Therapist Certification/Licensure in the state of practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with different types of personalities
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable automobile
  • Proof of current automobile insurance
  • Criminal background check clearance/fingerprint clearance
  • Negative TB test
  • Sign-on Bonus ($5,000 for 3 year commitment or $2,500 for a 1.5 year commitment)
