This is a full-time position, which can be located either in Augusta, Bangor or Portland and allows partial telework with management approval.


Core Responsibilities:

As a DD Resource Coordinator, you will play a key role in the operation of the Section 21 and Section 29 waiver programs. You will evaluate waiver applications, make eligibility determinations, review Person-Centered Service Plans, and issue service authorizations. You will collaborate frequently with case management agencies and waiver providers regarding individuals receiving Section 21 and 29 services. You will demonstrate a high level of critical thinking, organization, independent decision making, and customer service skills.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or related field -OR-
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a human services field (including, but not limited to: sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, and psychology)

Experience:

  • With a Bachelor’s Degree, at least four (4) years’ experience in developmental disabilities or a directly related human services field -OR-
  • With a Master’s Degree, at least one (1) year of experience in developmental disabilities or a directly related human services field

Experience cannot be substituted for the education requirement in this classification.
