Job description
Regional One Health is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Adult Special Care Infectious Disease HIV / AIDS Clinic in downtown Memphis.
JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Regional One Health Acts as the primary health care provider performing health care assessments, diagnosis, treatment, preventive health care, instructions and follow-up care to patients in the management of patient and family care following established protocols.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program,. Additional training may be required for specialty areas. Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.
EXPERIENCE: Twenty-four (24) months clinical experience as a Registered Nurse. Demonstrated ability to independently work and make clinical assessments. Additional experience may be required in assigned specialty area. Experience working with HIV patients preferred.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification or registry eligible required. Eligible for Certificate of Fitness (Prescriptive privileges) in State of Tennessee required. BLS required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Constant walking, standing; lifting and positioning patients/equipment; exposure to infectious agents. Visual acuity is needed to access color changes. Heavy Work - Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 75 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (May be further defined as "with or without assistance.")
