General Description of Role and Duties
The role of Nurse Practitioner (NP) at HCHC is to provide high quality primary health care services to patients of the Health Center utilizing a team based model to support the Mission and Vision of HCHC. The NP utilizes the health center supported electronic health record as a means of documenting and reviewing patient care services rendered or ordered. NP will work to achieve the access to care, quality metric and patient satisfaction goals established by the Health Center.
Our providers are contracted to receive a guaranteed salary and are not paid based on productivity.
This position is eligible for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program (LRP). Nurse Pracitioners have the opportunity to have their student loans repaid, while earning a competitive salary, in exchange for providing healthcare in communities with limited access to care.

Requirements:- Have or are willing to obtain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Experience with adult, child and adolescent populations
- DEA license to prescribe medicine
- Board certification in chosen field of practice
- Current CPR (BLS) certificate is required
- Preference will be given to candidates who are bi-lingual in Spanish, Arabic or Kurdish.
- Previous experience working in a Community Health Center environment is preferred but not required
- Cannot be sanctioned under Medicaid or Medicare
