Job Summary and Qualifications

Nuclear Medical Technologist (PRN)

Our Imaging Teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Utilize radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans
  • Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders
  • Administer and record dosages
  • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce image(s) on photographic film
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
  • Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns
  • Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation
  • Assist with patient transport

Qualifications

  • Vocational/Technical education
  • Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program
  • Clear/Active Florida Department of Health license (CRT)
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Valid ARRT (NM) and/or NMTCB certification required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
