Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require rational independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in performing scans with basic departmental functions and goals. Identifies cultural differences and incorporates into care. Utilizes translation services when indicated. Participates in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission statement.

• Graduate of an accredited program for Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• ARRT (R)(N) and/or (NMTCB) or registry eligible
• Current Kentucky Nuclear Medicine License
• Minimum of one year experience in Nuclear Medicine field is preferred
• New employees have up to 90 days from date of hire to obtain BLS for healthcare provider.
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
