We are a Residential Treatment Center for boys ages 7-18 years old. Our location is in Fresno, TX. Our team of Caregivers (Direct Care Staff) work directly with the kids that live full-time in the home. We have an inviting home environment in order to give the boys a family-style environment.

We love helping the kids and our employees are our biggest asset in providing a stable and caring environment.

Summary: Direct Care Staff is responsible for providing daily care to residents (youth) with emotional disorders.

Duties: The Direct Care Staff maintains accurate documentation and reports to the Treatment Director and Licensed Child Care Administrator.

  • Ensures all contractual requirements are being met
  • Serve as a positive role model to the youth
  • Maintain youth progress notes and write incident reports
  • Provides youth supervision at all times and maintains appropriate daily documentation
  • Participates in individual and group mentoring
  • Know which children for which they are responsible and keep supervisors informed of all observations
  • Provide crisis intervention for the youths
  • Attend and participate in all workshops/training
  • Comply with the agency and the respective program policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the program

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency such as a GED from a program recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TPSAC), or other similar educational entity from another state.
  • Preferred to have certifications in CPR/CPI. If not at hire, within the first month of working for Ray of Hope
  • Six months of experience working with children with behavioral problems
  • Must have TB screening prior to beginning employment
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to undergo and pass a background check as required by the state of Texas
  • Permanently work in Fresno, Texas
  • Ability to work shift work based on senority. The facility is open 24/7.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
