We need a driver who lives in or within 10 miles of Plummer or St. Maries, ID or other outlying towns near St. Maries Idaho. Driver will be responsible to drive our local clients to and from their medical appointments.

This is an entry level position, but we happily provide and pay your time for all training and transportation equipment.

Our drivers work from home - we supply the company vehicle, tablet and the gas! You just need to be able to store your van at home.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Clean Driving Record or at least no more than 1 moving violation in last 5 years

At Least 8 Years of Driving Experience, prefer job experience driving with a valid driver's license.

Background Checks, Able to pass county, state, nationwide criminal background check

Drug & Alcohol Testing Able to pass a 10-panel drug test and alcohol breathalyzer test. We do this test at pre-employment, annually and at random.

Customer Service Strong customer service skills, at least 6-months of customer service experience.

Open Availability Have open availability Monday through Friday.

Flexibility Be flexible with varying hours day to day.

Love Driving Be able to drive long distance to other areas such as Coeur d'Alene, Spokane and/or Sandpoint, ID.

Physical Ability Able to push wheelchair-bound clients up the vehicle ramp. Able to sometimes bend and twist to secure client and their wheelchair.

• Transportation Solutions, is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation provider, corporately located in Walla Walla, WA. We have been in business for over 20 years. We are a small, family-owned business that prides ourselves on providing quality, reliable transportation to clients – getting them to and from their medical appointments. We have fantastic drivers who cater to medical clients all over Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

JOB DUTIES/SKILLS

• Perform a daily inspection of company vehicle
• Keep vehicle clean and take vehicles to proper shops for required maintenance - i.e. tire rotations, oil changes etc.
• Knowledgeable with Google Maps, operate Android tablet to manage rides.
• Assist wheelchair clients - pushing them up wheelchair ramp, properly loading and securing them into the van.
• Able to drive in inclement weather if necessary - rain, snow, sleet etc.
• Drive clients out of the area, long distance, 300 miles each way or more. Able to drive, if necessary, up to 10 hours a day.
• Operate smartphone to check company email and communicate with clients and dispatchers.
• Has a personal computer at home to check company email, and print daily ride schedule.
• Drive in a safe manner, utilizing defensive driving training, to take clients to their appointments on time.

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Possess previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner.

Have a great work history with a track record of being a reliable responsible individual.

Previously certified in Basic Adult & Child First Aid & CPR and Defensive Driving, preferred but not required.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

To keep our drivers safe, we provide masks, sanitizers and pay for proper COVID testing as applicable. We will also pay for COVID vaccinations, HOWEVER vaccinations are not a required. Drivers are required to wear masks when within 6 feet of a client.
