Our drivers are compassionate, caring, reliable and responsible individuals charged with getting clients with mobility challenges to their destinations safely and on time.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Show up to work in a timely manner
  • Take work orders from dispatcher for client trip
  • Drive clients to their destinations on time
  • Assist clients as they get into and out of the vehicle
  • Provide door to door service
  • Report back to the dispatcher when clients have been dropped off at their destination
  • Report traffic delays en route back to dispatcher
  • Report any incidents or accidents to the dispatcher
  • Operate wheelchair lifts as needed
  • Adhere to company policies and protocol

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner
  • Show empathy, compassion, and customer service
  • Must adhere to all federal, state and agency rules regarding HIPAA Requirements.
  • Be at least 26 years old
  • Must be passionate about helping people
  • Possess a valid Colorado Driving License (for at least 2 years)
  • Have a clean driving record with no more than 4 points in the last 3 years
  • Must provide an updated Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) – 7-year history

EDUCATION

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

Preferred Skills

  • Know how to keep a level head in a busy environment
  • Must be passionate about helping people
  • Great communication skills
  • A good working knowledge of the El Paso County & Colorado Springs area a plus.
  • First Aid/CPR certification a plus but not required (we will train and certify you if needed)

Additional Notes

For this position the driver will be provided a company vehicle, company cell phone and safety equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

To keep our drivers as safe as possible, MedRide provides masks which are required to be worn at all times when in contact with clients. MedRide also provides gloves and disinfectants to keep in the company vehicle.
