Post Event Manager – Janitorial – Toyota Center Arena, Houston, TX

Pritchard Sports & Entertainment is seeking an experienced Post Event manager in the Toyota Center Arena, Houston, TX and will directly be responsible for leading commercial cleaning operations and ensuring that service commitments to on-site clients are fully met. This position is responsible for overseeing scheduling, training, performance management of staff, cleanliness of the facility, achieving maximum service, quality standards as meet as all operational expectations assigned by the Site Manager and District Manager.

This position will report to the Toyota Center Arena Site Manager & District Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Post Event Shift, budgets, and team personnel.
  • Organize, plan, schedule and execute cleaning operations for Post Event Shift.
  • Manage P&L expenses relating to cleaning services, labor, supplies, equipment etc.
  • Review service delivery and staffing reports to ensure identification of service and/or contract issues.
  • Understand all customer contract commitments and schedule services accordingly as assigned by the Site Manager.
  • Allocate resources appropriately, maintaining appropriate inventories of equipment and supplies. Ensure all supplies, equipment and labor are available to complete assigned tasks.
  • Inspect arena seating and all suite areas to determine the employee deployment strategy.
  • Checks-in post event staff, completes sign in and sign out sheets, assign radios, keys, equipment and assigns staff to ensure proper coverage of facility.
  • Labor Management – Checks and completes labor reports to ensure accountability of all staff, completes labor reports to ensure all post event labor is accounted for and manages all temporary labor processes and time sheets directed by the Site Manager and Director of Operations.
  • Oversee the recruitment of cleaning staff, the training orientation of new staff and the continual training and development of staff during post event shifts.
  • Responsible for human resources concerns, escalations during Post Event Shift and also assist Office Assistant and Site Manager with hiring, interviewing, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions and payroll concerns.
  • Assists Site Manager with daytime or project operations on non-events days.

Qualifications:

  • Commercial Janitorial Operations experience.
  • A thorough working knowledge of the janitorial industry.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written ability to communicate effectively with staff, senior management staff, clients, vendors, and union representatives.
  • Effective problem solving, leadership, organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong business development experience, skills, and ideas.
  • Bi-lingual preferred
