***Ask me about our newly increased new Graduate pay rate and sign-on bonus***

MedStar Health can offer you a lifetime of opportunity as you move through your nursing career, no matter the path you choose.
As a new graduate nurse with MedStar Health, you will participate in the year-long New to Practice Nurse Residency Program, offered at all 10 of our hospitals. Our Nurse Residency Program will provide you with series of structured learning and practice experiences designed to assist you in your transition from a new to practice to a professional nurse and clinical leader at the bedside. Supporting your growth and celebrating your success – we’ll be with you every step of the way.

Things to know about your application: A formal resume and cover letter should be attached. You only need to apply to ONE Baltimore Region new graduate posting. During your career consultation, you will be able to discuss all four Baltimore MedStar hospitals. *In the interest of transparency, we do not have Pediatrics in the Baltimore Region. Not all specialty units will have new graduate positions available.

Do I need to be licensed to apply? No. We offer new graduates the option to begin in the Graduate Nurse (GN) position or the Clinical Nurse I position.

A Graduate Nurse (GN) is a recent nursing school graduate who will work in an unlicensed position, prior to taking the NCLEX exam. The GN is responsible for the provision of nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

A Clinical Nurse I is a recent nursing school graduate who has successfully passed the NCLEX exam. As a licensed professional care provider, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of patients from admission through discharge.

What you should expect after you apply:

Upon review of your application, you will be contacted by the Student Nurse Recruiter for a career consultation.
