Description
This position is for a Network Analyst III in the Field Services Northern Branch. This Branch is located in the Division of Field Services within the Office of IT Services and Delivery.

The Network Analyst III is responsible for Providing technical direction and support to staff by analyzing specific computer communication requirements. This position will select and install computer equipment including hardware and software.

Job duties for this position includes:
  • Incident, Change and Service Requests
  • Computer equipment configuration, setup, and installation
  • Computer equipment transfers
  • Make recommendations to workgroups and teams pertaining to technology efforts
  • Asset Reporting and accounting measures
  • Create and update technical processes and documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree, OR, graduate of a college or university with an associate's degree in electrical engineering.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of network analysis experience OR four years experience in computer programming, network technician services, systems analysis, systems support, or production support.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Related technical or vocational training will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in computer programming, systems analysis, systems support, network services, or production support will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college (bachelor's) on a year-for-year basis. Prior military experience will only substitute if the individual received an honorable discharge, discharge under honorable conditions, or a general discharge.

Work is typically performed in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
