POSITION SUMMARY

Optimal Imaging is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI, XR, and Bone Density procedures to produce imaging to assist physicians with formulating a medical diagnosis, while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides MRI, XR, and Bone Density exams in a timely and cost-effective manner

- Flexibility to occasionally work different locations, days, and hours as needed

- Ability and willingness to learn additional modalities

- Ability to work independently

- Seeks consultation/collaboration for complex issues or when unsure

- Use of proper positioning to produce quality imaging

- Communicates effectively with patients, providers, and coworkers

- Knowledge of all equipment to provide a safe environment

- Knowledge startup procedures, calibration of equipment, and troubleshooting

- Knowledge of electronic archiving

- Knowledge of radiation safety to provide a safe environment

- Provides accurate dosing of contrast media

- Collects appropriate clinical history

- Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly logbooks of equipment and medications

- Maintains inventory of medications and clinical supplies

- Initials and checks orders

- Demonstrates competent usage of proper body mechanics in all activities

- Practices infection control and standard precautions

- Performs all other duties as assigned

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Successful completion of a radiology program at an accredited school
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

- State licensure

- BCLS required

- One to three years of experience as an MRI technologist preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $34.00 per hour
