The Role:

Patriot Fleet Service Mobile Mechanics perform repairs, preventive maintenance and inspections on-site at our customers' locations throughout the Shreveport/Bossier City area. Using our Bossier City facility as a "home base," our Mobile Mechanics operate out of one of Patriot Fleet Service's service vans or trucks. Typically, a flexibly scheduled 40-hour week, including evenings and weekends are part of the role since part of the value we provide our customers is servicing their fleet while it's "sleeping." Your day-to-day requirements are going to vary greatly, but generally speaking, you'll make assessments and "on-the-spot" repairs on a wide range of our clients' fleet vehicles and jobsite equipment.

Our Mobile Mechanic role is perfect for a relatively experienced (3-5 yrs+) mechanic who not only can, but WANTS to work independently in the field with minimal minute-to-minute supervision. Have a military Mechanic MOS or other fleet mechanic background? You'd probably be a great fit. Regardless of your background, we're looking for someone with a "get it done" skill-set and "get it done" attitude.

In short: We realize that there's a line between repairs that can be done "in-the-field" and repairs that will need to come into our Bossier City service facility, but the right candidate for this position would take a lot of pride in having the ability to move that line towards their mobile role.

A Typical Day:

One of the great parts about this role is that it varies from day-to-day, but a typical day might look like this:

• You check in the afternoon before your shift to receive instructions and start times for the following day (typically 6A - 8A). In addition, you will monitor the service appointment schedule app for updates as well.
• You arrive at our Bossier City facility with enough time to prepare, depart and arrive on-time at your first customer of the day.
• Perform your scheduled service and/or repairs as needed, communicating with your supervisor throughout the day for updates.
• You check-in once you've completed your scheduled services for the day to get briefed on any additional needs and the following day's schedule.
• At the end of your shift, you return to our Bossier City facility, clean up, resupply your service van/truck, submit paperwork and clock-out (typically 4-7P)
