Provide program management and communications support to the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Office of Multilateral Affairs (EAP/MLA).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:

  • Oversees the process of arranging domestic and international logistics for travel, conferences and accommodation for MLA events and programs.
  • Serves as a liaison between EAP/MLA, CN3S, and our subcontractors.
  • Maintains program websites ( www.usascp.org and www.mekonguspartnership.org ).
  • Supports other EAP/MLA colleagues in preparation for high level meetings and summits.
  • Up to 20% CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s degree and one year of experience with U.S. foreign assistance programs including basic program and financial management.
  • Background in foreign affairs and/or international relations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Requires SECRET Security Clearance
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collect, maintain, and update participant information for events.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively coordinate and communicate with event participants and relevant stakeholders, both foreign and domestic.
  • Ability to support logistics coordination for multiple events with competing timelines.
  • Experience with travel coordination including booking international venues, flights, and hotels.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn federal travel regulations.
  • Ability to prepare and adhere to event budgets.
  • Not required but preferred - experience with event planning/ execution for events with up to 150 attendees.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen.
  • Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently blocked from enforcement pending court proceedings. Therefore, Cherokee Federal is halting the application of the mandate; however, if the injunction is lifted, Cherokee Federal will restore administration of the vaccine requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment; 50% remote.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per hour

Experience:

  • travel coordination including booking international venues, flights, and hotels: 1 year (Preferred)
  • efficiently and effectively coordinate and communicate with event participants and relevant stakeholders, both foreign and domestic: 1 year (Preferred)
  • program management and communications support: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

Security clearance:

  • Secret (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
