Key Responsibilities

Community Connections, Circle, & Clubs

● Lead and manage community connections small group programming to support and strengthen connectedness between RHMA adults and scholars;

• Lead and manage weekly community circle to reinforce RHMA values and celebrate our community;
• Lead and manage Friday clubs to deepen scholar exposure and engagement with extracurricular activities;

Communication & Branding

● Manages Resurgence Hall Middle Academy communication channels such as the, weekly Phoenix Following and RH Team e-blast, monthly PFN volunteer newsletter, monthly Prospective Family newsletter, Summer New & Returning Family newsletter;

● Manages Resurgence Hall Middle Academy Social Media outlets;

• Posts to social media accounts with current and relevant photos, video, or other content from Resurgence Hall Middle Academy activities and events 1-3 times daily
• Posts updates, news and announcements in a timely manner using appropriate content

● Manages Resurgence Hall Middle Academy Spirit Store by supporting with ordering, distribution, and design updates to store merchandise;

Events & Activities

● Plans, creates, and manages school community activities and events;

• Monthly staff joy-themed events and activities to build strong adult culture and ensure a joyful work environment such as monthly birthday celebrations, breakfasts, lunches, team outings, team parties, milestone celebrations, and more
• Team Appreciation Week
• Team BOY, Winter, and EOY Celebration
• Annual School Community Events such as College Match Day, Homecoming, LatinX Heritage Month Luncheon, Feast of Thanks, MLK Day of Service, Black History Month Black Business Expo, Women’s History Month Awareness Celebration, Earth Day Celebration, Spring Fling Celebration
• End of Year College Tour Experience
• Organize and manage picture day
• Organize and manage Scholastic Book Fair
• Monthly Phoenix Family Network activities, family engagement meetings/requirements per Federal programs, and events to build relationships amongst families outside of school such as restaurant night, skate night, bowling night, play in the park, and more
• Serve as the RHMA McKinney Vento liaison and support Phoenix Families with non-academic needs;
• Lead and recruit team members for the sunshine committee to support team Joyn events, activities, and milestones;
• Serve as the family liaison for managing the signup of family volunteers for field trips and events;

Recruitment & Records

• Supports Resurgence Hall recruitment strategy for prospective scholars by hosting tours, identifying and attending community fairs and events and information sessions;

● Manage electronic and/or paper-based scholar records including fulfilling records requests in a timely manner;

• Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Executive Director.

____________________________________________________________________________ Qualifications/Certification - All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree. GA certification or other state certification preferred, or willingness/eligibility to pursue a teaching certification, if necessary

Physical requirements- This job is physically demanding and may require standing and walking for extended periods of time and lifting heavy objects up to 40lbs.

Prior Experience. Minimum 5 years prior experience which includes teaching experience, school-based operations/logistics, event planning, and recruitment. 2+ years of management experience of teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational, project planning and management skills. Knowledge and use of CANVA, Buffer, social media such as instagram, facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, and G Suite (google apps). An excellent eye for detail.

Start Date - July 1st, 2023
