Job Description

You must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license, must be able to pass an MVR and must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and DOT PHMSA compliant Drug Screen.

Warehouse Location: Charlotte, NC 28206

Qualifications: Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to use a variety of hand tools requiring upper body forces up to 30 lbs.
• Adhere to all Federal, State and Local driving requirements, company policies and procedures as well as additional legal regulatory requirements i.e., OSHA.

Primary Functions:

• Physical ability to work in an outdoor environment, including, but not limited to: Walking, climbing, and stooping for up to 10 hours per day in all types of weather conditions.
• Check existing meter, install replacement meter, and perform final meter test.
• Collect data accurately and detail the installations from company-provided handheld device.
• Maintain exceptional standards of safety and quality of work.
• Ability to identify hazardous and abnormal operating conditions as it relates to gas meter sets.
• Check and identify gas leaks on a meter set.
• Ability to safely turn on and off customer gas supplies.
• Proficient in gas appliance safety and operations.
• Shut down and relight gas appliances.
• Use appropriate hand tools to remove and install new gas meters.
• Meet daily installation goals, as established by the Project Manager.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanic: 1 year (Preferred)
• Equipment repair: 1 year (Preferred)
• Assembly line: 1 year (Preferred)
• Electrical: 1 year (Preferred)
