SUMMARY

This position is responsible for setting up and running thread rolling equipment, and inspection techniques for all operations. Performs secondary operations as required and deburr parts. Communicates essential information to the production leader or supervisor as required. Performs duties of similar complexity as assigned by cell leader, production leader or supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Required to exhibit the ability to read and follow work instructions both written and verbal.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, or manufacturing work orders to plan set up and operation of thread roll machines, producing parts to precision tolerance and company specifications.
  • Starts, stops, and feeds the machines and monitors for imperfect operation.
  • Utilizes a full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform an inspection before the start, during, and at the completion of the production run.
  • Meets and maintains productivity levels and quality requirements in support of departmental standards, goals, and schedules.
  • Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of work situations.
  • The ability to perform basic math calculations including: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements including 5S responsibilities.
  • Flexibility and reliability, including good focus and attendance.
  • Twist, turn, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and walk repetitively, and work with oils, coolants and lubricants.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Job Requirements:

Compensation

Base pay range: $24.75 to $31.00 per hour

This salary range is provided in good faith and is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude such as light automotive service or repair
  • Good planning, organizing and communication
  • The ability to multi-task and be a team player.
  • Good reading and comprehension.
  • Preferred successful completion of a blueprint reading course or a comprehensive understanding and ability to read and follow blueprints.
  • Use of inspection equipment to include, but not limited to: calipers, indicators, micrometers, hardness tester and tape measure.
  • The ability to work long periods standing up; lift and manipulate heavy loads (up to 50 lbs with assistance).
  • Must be willing to work overtime, which may include occasional weekends.
