Ascend Career Services is partnering with Community Services Group (CSG) to hire a Mental Health Professional at their Spring Grove, PA location. CSG was founded in 1972 with the goal of providing quality community-based intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) and mental health services in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our specialized programs are designed to meet the needs of the individuals we serve and help them reach their full potential. We take pride in empowering individuals and promoting independence and wellness.

Weekly work schedule - day, evening, and overnight shifts available, 8-10 hours/day with occasional weekends. Exact schedules will be negotiated.

Key Responsibilities

• Fosters independent living skills in individuals who have a mental illness diagnosis.
• Works with staff in implementing individual and group programming to enhance the individual’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and independent living skills.
• Serves a role in the clinical aspects of the individual’s recovery process.
• Develops and facilitates individual and group sessions.
• Serves as a member of the treatment/service team.
• Provides crisis management and intervention by developing and implementing treatment/ supportive interventions.
• Completes all daily, weekly, and monthly records i.e., treatment plans, reports, logs, and other documentations.
• Manages crisis situations and resolves conflict.

Key Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, activity therapies, counseling, education or related field from an accredited college or university and 1 year of mental health clinical experience (if the profession is governed by a licensing board in Pennsylvania, then the employee shall be registered, licensed or certified to practice in that profession).
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and all necessary background clearances.
