Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for a Medical Staff Coordinator to help us achieve our goals at Chippenham & Johnston-Willis Hospitals. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

Responsibilities of the position include coordinating the daily activities and functions of credentialing and clinical privileging, initial appointments and reappointments, accreditation compliance, and providing Medical Staff organizational structure and committee support. This position monitors the latest regulatory standards, ensures adherence, and has a direct and significant impact on hospital accreditation, performance improvement, and patient care. The Medical Staff Coordinator interacts professionally with Medical Staff leadership and facilitates communication between Medical and Advanced Practice Professional staff, hospital staff, clinical directors, and hospital leaders. Additionally the Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for maintaining documentation systems, managing Emergency Room call schedules, and compliance with policies and procedures related to the functions of the department.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION:
Required: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Or Previous experience in lieu of degree
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 2 years previous experience in a Hospital Medical Staff Office
Preferred: 2 years previous experience as a Medical Staff Coordinator

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Required in lieu of Degree: CPCS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist

HOURS:
Full time, day shift
