Mercy Multiplied exists to provide opportunities for all to experience God’s unconditional love, forgiveness, and life-transforming power. Mercy’s residential counseling program is voluntary, biblically-based, and helps young women ages 13–32 break free from life-controlling issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking. These residential services are offered free-of-charge. In September of 2020, Mercy Multiplied launched its first Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling in Monroe/West Monroe, LA offering free-of-charge outpatient counseling to that community. Our Outreach Services train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, discipleship teaching, and other practical resources.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Services Manager in our home located in Lincoln, CA near Sacramento.

Hours: 30 hours per week // Benefits Eligible

Compensation: Hourly, $33.00 - $35.00

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, California Nursing License required

Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Schedule Options:

• Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 3pm, or

• Monday – Thursday: 8:30a – 4:30pm; Off Friday

To be successful in this role, one must have the following:

• Must be current in CPR

• Excellent communication skills are required (written and verbal)

• Excellent interpersonal skills required

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure

• Ability to set good boundaries

• Must have CDL (or be able to obtain CDL)

• Must be dependable and able to work alone, very detail-oriented and able to work under constant deadlines

• Basic computer skills with a proficiency Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Willingness to be flexible and help out in other areas at any time

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred

• Must have a thorough understanding of, and dedication to, the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with demonstrated work ethics

Summary of Responsibilities:

Medical Care

• Complete medical department orientation for all residents entering program

• Evaluate all medical complaints and determine treatment options

• Oversee medical care of each resident (in the capacity of case manager) to include: maintaining all medical records, staying informed of medical needs/concerns, scheduling doctor’s appointments as needed and notify Program Director and Director of Home Operations of such, accompanying residents to appointments, keeping record of all appointments and information obtained, and notifying Program Director and appropriate counselors when medical situations or emergencies arise

• Manage all prescriptions and medications to include: getting prescriptions filled and ensuring doctors’ orders are followed, obtaining refills in a timely manner, restocking medication cabinet with needed over-the-counter pharmaceutical supplies while ensuring expiration dates are current, making sure counts of prescription medications are maintained and monitoring the use of all medications by residents

• Must be responsible for safe transportation of residents as neede
  
  Communication

• Communicate with parents/guardians of residents concerning any medical situation or emergency involving their daughter. Send bills to parents and/or insurance companies for reimbursement of all medical expenses

• Communicate with staff regarding any medical needs/issues of residents

• Participate in Wellness Team Meetings

• Participate in weekly Team Meetings giving medical input on each resident, when applicable

• Advise Nutrition Manager of any special dietary needs due to medical conditions and/or doctor’s instructions for special diets

• Assist Program Director and Director of Home Operations as needed to ensure resident safety and to keep the home running as it should
