Medical Scribe - Podiatry

Bloomfield Family Footcare

Small, established Podiatry practice is seeking a full-time or part-time associate to join our team as a Medical Scribe.

As a Medical Scribe, you will assist the Podiatrist in our medical offices in Bloomfield Hills (2-4 days/week) and Dearborn (1 day/week).

The ideal candidate should have a warm, friendly, and outgoing personality and feel comfortable interacting with people in person and on the phone, have excellent communication skills, be highly organized and able to multi-task, be self-motivated, and take pride in high-quality work. Previous experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records (HER) system
• Working with a supervising Doctor to complete and submit medical records
• Professionally communicating with patients, staff and supervising Doctor
• Completing all administrative tasks efficiently

Skills

• Self-Motivated and require minimal direction
• Strong Verbal and Digital Communication Skills
• Mastery of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Procedures and Diagnosis.
• Administrative and Technical Writing Expertise
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Ability to Manage Time Efficiently
• Desire to Learn

Education/Experience

• High School Graduate - required
• College Coursework, particularly in Medical/Pre-Med - preferred
• Certification: Certified Medical Scribe Associate (CMSA) or Certified Medical Scribe Professional (SMSP) - preferred
• 1+ year experience in Medical office - preferred
• EHR Experience (e.g. ModMed) - preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
