A student-friendly part-time health-care position with medical and administrative duties in a unique holistic medical practice (nutrition, acupuncture, musculoskeletal, sports medicine, and pain medical clinic).

Conveniently located in a modern medical clinic in White Marsh, the job will require a variable number (approximately 5-10-15) of service hours per week with the potential for an increase.. Semester. Flexibility in scheduling during the school semester. Opportunity for Journal Article Publication. Rapid promotion opportunities and advancement.

.All training and instruction will be provided by our friendly staff.

Applicants should possess excellent customer service, communication skills, multi-tasking ability, high motivation level, and ability to work independently.

Duties include:

1) Scheduling appointments

2) Managing telephone calls,

3) General reception and registering duties

4) Back-office clinical functions, room prep, and assisting providers.

All Students or applicants in healthcare majors (Biology, Chemistry, Health Care Management, Nursing, Pre-Medical, PA, PT, OT, SLP, and others exploring careers in the "service professions" are warmly encouraged to apply.

The Oasis Center for Pain, Acupuncture & Nutritional Medicine is a multidisciplinary medical healthcare practice dedicated to providing quality, compassionate, integrative and holistic medical care and therapy for a variety of musculoskeltal, neurologic, sports medicine, nutritional and painful disabling conditions. The Center is staffed by board certified professionals offering natural medical solutions as well as traditional medical care. Acupuncture,, Nutritional counseling, Exercise, pharmacotherapy, Music and Herbal thermal modalities are offered in a professional spa-like medical atmosphere. The director of the Center is a caring Johns Hopkins faculty physician who is board-certified with an MBA in Health Service Management.The co-director is a licensed, board-certified medical nutritionist. The Center is a calm, peaceful and professional environment to work. The center offers employment opportunities to students as well as mini-internship experiences for undergraduate and graduate students contemplating healthcare and/or customer service & hospitality careers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $16.00 per hour
