Medical Practice Executive Director

Organization Summary: Physicians & Surgeons, with locations in Amory, Columbus, and Starkville, Mississippi, is a multi-specialty physician practice, including OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Internal Medicine. The group is currently comprised of sixteen providers, including both physicians and advanced practice providers.

Job Title: Medical Practice Executive Director

Job Summary: Our healthcare organization is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Medical Practice Executive Director to manage our medical practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the practice, while ensuring high-quality patient care and staff satisfaction. This role will also include oversight of an executive team, working with an external consultant, and regular visits to multiple locations. The Executive Director will report directly to the owner physicians.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement strategic plans for short and long-term objectives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the practice's operations.

· Research, evaluate, and develop additional sources of patient care and revenue through strategic ancillaries and other opportunities.

· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.

· Manage the practice's financial operations, including budgeting, billing, and collections.

· Oversee the management team and other staff responsible for the daily operations of the medical practice, including managing staff, scheduling appointments, managing finances, and coordinating with healthcare providers.

· Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.

· Continuously monitor and assess the quality of patient care, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

· Stay current on industry trends and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the practice's performance.

· Lead, coach, and mentor staff to foster a positive and supportive work environment.

· Provide oversight to an executive team and work with an external consultant to ensure the practice's success.

· Regularly visit multiple locations to ensure consistency and quality across all sites.

· Develop and maintain key performance indicators and oversee their delivery to practice owners and other providers.

· Develop new and strengthen existing relationships with local and regional hospital administrators.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.

· At least 5 years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in a private medical practice setting.

· Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

· Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and billing.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

· Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for short and long-term objectives to enhance the practice's operations.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Ability to provide oversight to an executive team and work with an external consultant.

· Willingness to travel to multiple locations.

· Experience in maintaining and overseeing key performance indicators for delivery to practice owners and other providers.
