Lucrative career opportunity for an experienced on site Medical Practice Administrator to join a well-established gastroenterology practice in Waldorf, MD.

Requires 5-7 years of experience in medical practice operations, finance, business office oversight, and personnel management. Requires familiarity with coding and reimbursement issues, excellent analytical skills and a strong knowledge of finance, strong bookkeeping and spreadsheets.

Position interacts with staff in all areas of the practice. The right candidate will possess the ability to lead by example and facilitate decision-making at all levels of the organization. Experience with Gastroenterology or another complex medical specialty a plus.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience managing staff in multi-site medical practice operations
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Great computer and IT skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Practice Management/EMR systems
  • Outstanding written, and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong strategic and financial planning skills

Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of a busy medical practice:

  • Facility Maintenance and Oversight
  • Financial and Performance Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Benchmarking Review and Market Assessments
  • Full HR cycle management to include Recruitment of staff and providers
  • Management of Staff and Performance
  • Supervisory Authority
  • Insurance and Provider Credentialing
  • Billing (Coding and Reimbursement) Oversight and Responsibility
  • Compliance and Regulation
  • Marketing, Brand Management and social media activities
  • Strategic Planning and Development
  • Vendor and Supply Management
