About the Job
Thriveworks is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to work closely with the telepsychiatry team and act as a liaison between clients and clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Input client information into an EHR
- Coordinate medical records requests for clinicians
- Process inbound/outbound lab work
- Process refill requests for patients
- Process prior authorizations
- Triage medical questions/requests
- Assist in managing high-volume email accounts to answer questions for patients and clinicians
- Provide any additional administrative support to medical staff, Regional Clinic Director, and Executive Director
Skills / Qualifications
- Active certification as a CMA or RMA
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a diverse population of clientele
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge and experience using business software (word processing, spreadsheets, Google Workspace, etc.)
Requirements
- Prior experience working with EHR systems, preferably AMD
- Experience in maintaining HIPAA-compliant practices and procedures
- Familiarity with an outpatient office setting
- Ability to work one of the following schedules: Tuesday-Saturday 8a - 5pm
