We're looking for Medical Assistants to join our primary care and specialty clinics in Washington's Pierce county with locations in Tacoma, Lakewood, Gig Harbor, Bonney Lake, and Puyallup, Washington. We are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external Medical Assistant candidates!

Position Summary
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the provider with back office duties in the outpatient management of patients and completing or assisting with front office duties. This position is a vital part of the office team that cares for patients in the clinic setting working under the direction of a physician. This position works closely with the physicians, other clinical staff, and front office staff. Work situations are a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude. Acting as the patient advocate the Medical Assistant has continuous contact with physicians, patients, patient families/ significant others, community agencies, and MHS patient care staff and management.

Minimum Requirements

• One (1) year experience in physician's office or other medical facility preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications

• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) Certification
