Currently, we are looking to fill the position of a Medical Assistant Instructor in the Allied Health Department.

We are looking for the right person to join our dynamic team and provide instructional leadership in the classroom.
The right candidate must meet the following job requirements:

• Knowledge of PPO/HMO health plans; verification of benefits; payment/adjustment posting and all other medical billing duties
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, W/C
• Knowledge with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS
• Knowledge with EHR and medical records
• Knowledge of professional development, medical terminology, anatomy & physiology and pathophysiology
• Instructs and follows as curriculum and syllabi indicate. Additionally, follows all RGV College Student Catalog and Allied Health Policies and Procedures
• Meets the needs of externship/employer expectations
• Arranges assignments as described in course syllabus and maintains grades on a daily basis
• Grades and prepares for next day in a timely fashion
• Returns and explains course assignments
• Maintains strong communication with students so as to retain and refrain from withdrawals
• Practices meticulous duties on attendance and submits attendance on a daily basis
• Responsible to communicate with all students for absences and maintains communication on Allied Health Department Call Log
• Responsible for communicating with students on ongoing basis and keep documentation on Summary Progress Report
• Attends Allied Health Faculty meetings, staff/faculty meetings, graduation and other college events as required by RGV College
• A professional demeanor at all times
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as instructed and assigned by Allied Health Lead Instructor

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour (D.O.E.)

Schedule: 8am-3:00pm Monday-Friday
