Job description

SJH Derm is look for someone to join our organization! We are a group of 4 dermatology offices growing our team. We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Assistant who can work in a fast-paced environment at our La Grange location.

As a Medical Assistant, you will assist providers and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties while providing excellent patient care. Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Check in patients, escort in and out of exam rooms
  • Complete medical record with proper documentation and proper ICD 10’s/CPT codes
  • Maintain confidentially with medical records
  • Prepare exam rooms
  • Disinfect/clean patient rooms following examination
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standard and procedures: complying with legal regulations
  • Patient call backs to review any test results
  • Document and send prescriptions to correct pharmacy
  • Complete proper consent forms
  • Collect specimens/blood samples properly to send to lab
  • Clean and sterilize instruments
  • Assist providers as they examine/treat patients by remaining sterile, handling instruments, and assisting in procedures

Ideal candidate will be able to work in a high energy, team atmosphere and possess strong organizational and communication skills as well as be detail oriented. Must have excellent integrity and kindness, while assisting in daily patient care and be forward thinking.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
