Job description

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing care and assistance to adult patients. Preparing them to see the medical provider. You must be able to work as a team and have good communication and customer service skills. Must be detail oriented.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Take detailed medical history from patient
• Review and reconcile medications
• Obtain pre authorizations for medications as needed
• Take vital signs, weight
• Prep charts prior to visits
• Answer calls/voicemail to nursing lines
• Perform EKG's, injections, blood draws
• Communicate with pharmacies regarding med refills, etc
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms

Skills

• Knowledge of medical office EMR's and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Customer service oriented
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Certified as Medical Assistant preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

All patients are required to wear a mask. They are also prescreened for Covid symptoms when they arrive. All staff wear mask and social distance in office. Enhanced cleaning methods have been instituted
