Summary of Opportunity:

In this role you will be an integral part of our Tallahassee infusion clinic – Florida Mind Health. At Florida Mind Health, our goal is for our patients to succeed and be happy and healthy. With years of medical experience, knowledge, and prior ketamine application, our team of qualified medical experts can provide patients with life-changing holistic treatments. We are currently searching for a talented and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our medical practice. This role covers both administrative as well as clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for treatment, assisting with treatment process, and performing front desk duties. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must demonstrate good judgment, attention to detail, and have a calm demeanor in stressful conditions. Currently this is a part-time position with the potential to turn into a full-time position with the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Front desk duties including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, checking in patients, obtaining necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
  • Check-out patients and ensure patient records are completed
  • Assist with billing and insurance process
  • Set-up to administer injections and/or medication
  • Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
  • Assist CRNA with medical treatments and procedures
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a medical clinic setting; mental health and/or ketamine clinic experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.63 - $26.44 per hour
