Job description
The ideal Medical Assistant is one who has the skills and knowledge to be a leader in the patient Care Team. As part of the health care team and under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, physicians and mid-levels, the Medical Assistant will be involved in both direct and in-direct patient care. The position consists of a variety of administrative and patient care responsibilities. Pay based on experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the Patient Care Team
- Obtain and record initial patient data according to policies
- Prepare the patient and rooms for examination
- Work with clinic equipment, i.e. EKG machine, audiometer, centrifuge, etc.
- Give immunizations and other medications under the supervision of the provider.
- Phlebotomy
- Schedule appointments
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum requirements - high school diploma, knowledge of computers, graduate of a technical school program in Medical Assisting, or one year of experience. Must meet competency requirements after on the job training. Experience with eClinical Works and Vaccines for Children preferred. Must be high energy and able to excel in a fast passed enviroment. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required for employment.
