Med Aides

Mohawk Homestead is actively seeking a motivated MA (Medication Aides) for our Assisted Living Facility in Mohawk, NY.

Description:

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Assist residents with the self-administration of medications
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Assist in monitoring the medication program – includes ordering of medications, and notifying nurse of when medication requires a new prescription
• Immediately report any changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Provide assistance to first responders in the event of an emergency or incident

Hours:

Part Time Night Shift - 11 PM- 7 AM (requires every other weekend)

COVID-19:

All associates of The Mohawk Homestead are required by New York State Department of Health regulation to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Exceptions can be made based on medical exception as allowed by the New York State Department of Health.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work as a team member
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• One (1) year of resident care experience and/or training required
• Successfully complete all trainings as required by state regulations
