Career Opportunity: Mechanical Joining Lab Technician
We seek a mechanically inclined technical professional to perform TOX clinching technology testing. This person will provide support to the development of new TOX joining applications by mechanically testing a variety of materials and documenting the strength data. This position plays a key role in the accuracy and on-time performance of the TOX laboratory. Lab technicians are expected to be diligent and thorough in their understanding of the specific testing needs in order to assure that the customer's needs are fully satisfied.
Mechanical Joining Lab Technician Responsibilities
Perform pre-test, test, and post-test documentation according to test/documentation procedures- Installation and removal of test tools, test components, and lab equipment as requested in the test request.
- Enter all test data, process data, and customer information into the laboratory database
- Provide technical support and assistance to engineers
- Maintain and clean laboratory instruments and equipment
- Assist in customer machine set-up and qualification
- Equipment set-up and assembly of prototype products as required by customers
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance
- Effectively manage work time and be self-directed in order to meet testing requirements and schedules
Required qualifications
Must have proven mechanical hands-on experience- Strong communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions. Blue print reading ability preferred
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple projects independently
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must have High School diploma
- Prefer technical associate's degree or related experience in one of the following fields (mechanical technology, machining, testing, mechanics, etc.)

Position
Status: 40 hours per week, ability to accommodate overtime as needed
Time: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
