Structure Resources is partnering with one of the mining industry’s premier engineered solution providers. Our client is a leading single source custom steel manufacturing company dedicated to providing the highest level of support to their clients. This client sets themselves apart from their competition by offering unique solutions to some of the mining industries complex problems.

They are currently experiencing strong growth in their industry and are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanical Designer / Project Coordinator to join their Chandler manufacturing team. Our client is committed to providing extraordinary customer service. In addition, they are committed to allowing great team members to contribute beyond the traditional roles of their job duties.

Specific Duties:

• Collaborate with onsite engineers in project management and design development
• Design systems from the project development stage thru final assembly drawings.
• Modify/update existing models thru final assembly drawings.
• Modify existing processes to improve work methods.
• Nest parts and perform quantity take-offs for materials.
• Coordinate and collaborate with production team including shop fabrication department.
• Participate in peer review process
• Lead production meetings
• Project coordination / project management
• Continuous improvement
• Materials management

Job Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast paced, evolving department with unique projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting at shop floor level.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and familiar with common fabrication methods
• Ability to foster a team environment with the shop plasma operator and fabricators.

Experience

• Engineering Degree - preferred
• 5+ years of Solidworks experience – Fabrication Drawings, Sheet Metal, Assemblies, Weldments & Multibody Parts preferred
• 3D Scanning (Artec Studio/Design X) experience – preferred
• Microsoft Suite experience

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 8 to 10 Hour Shifts
• Early Hours / 5:00am to 5:30am

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
