The Mechanic is to participate in the repair, modification, and upgrade of customer equipment (turbo-machinery and reciprocal compressors), as required.

Qualification Requirements

• A strong hands-on and working knowledge of the manufacture and assembly of close tolerance turbo-machinery and reciprocal compressors.
• A strong hands-on and working knowledge of machine shop practices.
• Hands on experience and knowledge of turbo-machinery assembly operations.
• The ability to work with close tolerance equipment.
• Must have the ability to achieve and meet the timely and cost-effective methods of repair and assembly.
• Machinist experience required for resolution of equipment problems and recommended repairs.
• Have experience and be willing to operate standard factory equipment.
• Requires strong mechanical problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and “can do” attitude.
• Ability to work overtime and fluctuating shifts, both scheduled and unscheduled.

Technical or Functional Knowledge

• Technical or trade school certification or additional work experience in related field.
• Prefer at least 5 years of experience in gas compression with preference to CAT, Ariel and/or Cummins certifications and experience.
• High degree of mechanical ability.
