Coleman Oil Company is seeing a mobile mechanic who will travel to and from different sights, with some overnight stays, to service our tankers and trucks with preventative maintenance and tank repair.

Shift is Monday to Friday, with some weekend work and on-call as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bumper-to-bumper preventative maintenance service and/or report to tractor and trailer
• Preventative maintenance inspections
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Brake system repair
• Tire maintenance
• Minor diesel engine repair
• Tire and wheel, heavy duty brake system
• Keeping and maintaining complete records of repairs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• A Class A CDL with Hazmat , or the ability to get one (preferred)
• Clean driving record
• Provide own tools
• Knowledge of Cummins, Paccar, and Detroit engines
• Safety minded professional
• Basic computer skills
• Well organized
• Good communication skills
• Neat, clean appearance
• Promptness
• Great customer service
• Self-Motivated - Able to work with minimal supervision

PREFERRED:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in truck and trailer maintenance
• Tanker repair experience
• DOT certified in FHWA Inspection and Air Brakes
• Welding experience

COMPENSATION:

Salary Range: $35.00 TO $39.00 dependent on experience (eligible for overtime)
