Job description

We are searching for a detail-oriented motorcycle enthusiast who will take pride in supporting the productivity and smooth function of the service department general operations. The ideal candidate will have the ability to cover overflow work in three different areas of our shop (driving, intake/receiving and shop assistant). We are at the point where each of these roles requires part-time additional staff to cover peak times and/or days off. The ideal candidate will be someone with the right experience to cover the different roles and be one that enjoys different challenges and variety of work.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 5-years of motorcycle riding experience
  • Must have general powersports mechanical knowledge/skills
  • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement and good driving record (No major violations in 5+ years)
  • Must be physically able to safely move, load, and unload motorcycles and other powersports vehicles.
  • Experience towing trailers of at least 20' in length
  • Have or obtain a DOT medical card within 30 days of employment (We can assist with this process)
  • Obtain NH State Inspectors license within 90 days of employment (We can assist with this process)
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Must obtain fork truck certification within 90 days of employment (We can help with this)
  • Confident, friendly mannerisms when communicating with customers and team members
  • Must be able to embrace and support change as the business and your skills grow
  • Extremely dependable and trustworthy

Essential Job Functions

  • Pick-up/deliver vehicles from/to customers throughout New England
  • Evaluate trade-in vehicles overall mechanical and cosmetic condition including completion of a road test.
  • Removal of accessories and/or other general vehicle prep work
  • Continually communicate with technicians and detailers to identify and anticipate their needs including staging vehicles and parts
  • Maintains function, cleanliness and supplies for all shop tools and equipment
  • General shop errands (including maintaining fuel caddy, special parts pick-up, off-site company errands, etc.)
  • Communicate potential process improvement to management/team leaders for evaluation of company process/procedures
  • Perform a variety of roles and complete projects on an as-needed basis, including but not limited to maintenance on shop vehicles, building maintenance, construction projects, etc.
