Job Description:
Position Overview
This position oversees inventory control function such as manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies. This position will be responsible for maintaining the production plan by studying and recommending improvements to production control methods, receives incoming material, stack and arrange in proper storage area.
Responsibilities
  • Adhere to and promote Terex safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to and promote The Terex Way Values
  • Staging and loading trucks for shipments with major & minor components
  • Ensure adherence of material handlers standard work (ex: parts handling and storage, individual cleaning areas of responsibility)
  • Assign and adjust areas for forklift coverage to support production needs
  • Remove waste items from the production area
  • Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage
  • Oversight of small parts supermarket to align with Material Coordinator
  • Maintain clean work area and participate in 5s standards
  • Coordinates with production control, purchasing and supervisors to align build proper sequence
  • Actively engage in team problem solving
  • Provide skills, training, and mentoring to other Terex team members
  • All other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience at Terex in a materials role and/or 4+ years of experience in materials
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Understand and demonstrate basic computer skills
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
  • Computer skills, equipment operation, tool operation, judgment, interpersonal skills, math, reading and writing
  • Able to cover any of the primary material coordinator roles or similar demonstrated capabilities in prior work experience.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group
Physical Requirements of the Job
Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy. Physical demand requirements are in excess of light work. Medium to heavy work is defined as:
  • 10 to 40 pounds of force frequently, may include pushing, pulling and lifting
  • 40 to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance of machinery or others to move objects
  • Ability to stand on concrete for 10+ hours per shift

The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $24.46 an hour, plus $1.25/hr in lead pay.
