Material Handler

White Castle Distributing, LLC - Vandalia, OH

Non-Exempt

Shift Hours:

6:00 am-2:30 pm, Monday- Saturday

10:00 am – 6:30 pm Monday - Saturday

(Hours and scheduled days may vary)

The Material Handler transfers raw materials and finished products to ensure that items are stored in a proper location, loaded and unloaded from trucks efficiently, ensure there is a constant supply of raw materials to the production line and that all waste is disposed of in a proper manner.

What we are looking for:

• High School degree is required.
• Knowledge of high school level mathematics and reading.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Warehouse experience.
• Availability for work and good attendance.

What you will do:

• Pull and stage buns for the following day’s production. Hook up electric to freezer unit on truck. Put empty cartons on empty truck to return to bun plant.
• Load and unload trucks of raw materials and finished products.
• Supply new materials to the production line to prevent shortages.
• Ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished product.
• Remove all raw materials and packing waste such as pallets, empty cartons etc. from the production line.
• Fill in on the Production Line as needed.
• Inventory all raw materials and finished goods.

Physical Requirements:

• Bending, turning, twisting, kneeling, lifting in order to load and unload trucks.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Have the ability to work in cold temperature conditions.
• Reaching heights up to 7 feet, and pulling 10 pounds from that height 10 to 15 times per shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
